NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -Many organizations are doing their part in NEBRASKAland Days. The North Platte Jaycees have two roles this year which are hosting the pancake feed and helping with NEBRASKAland fundraising efforts. On June 18, the Jaycees worked together at Cody Park making and serving flapjacks for the pancake feed. Tickets were presold through NEBRASKAland Days. Perkins restaurant supported the pancake feed by assisting with the cost for the pancake batter and sausages.
The North Platte Jaycees are a non-profit organization compromised of members ages 21 to 40 years old. The Jaycees are community-oriented and find ways to give back. They have a long-running tradition of assisting with NEBRASKAland Days.
“I think everyone is excited we are excited to be back and be doing the pancake feed. We are excited that Nebraskaland days are back. I think everyone is excited to mingle again,” said Nick McNew, North Platte Jaycee Member.
